States whose five-year term ends first. The Election Commission announces the actual dates.
How the numbers are sourced and what else we can prepare for a seat.
How many assembly constituencies are there in India?
There are 4,123 assembly constituencies across 31 states and union territories with a legislature. Uttar Pradesh has the most (403); Puducherry and Sikkim have the fewest among those listed here.
Where does this election data come from?
Every result on these pages is taken from the Election Commission of India’s statistical reports for each state election: the detailed results and the constituency data summary. We add maps from open boundary data and link back to the ECI report on every page.
How often is the data updated?
We update a state after the Election Commission publishes the statistical report for its election, usually a few weeks after counting. Bye-election results are added in the same way.
Can I get booth-wise results for a constituency?
Yes. Booth-wise results come from Form-20, published for each seat. Our team prepares booth and village-level analysis, swing-booth lists and maps on request for any constituency.
