Every visit proven by where, when and what the verifier saw
Bharat Survey is a contact point verification agency for banks, NBFCs, housing finance companies and fintech lenders that need independent field checks on applicants and merchants. Verifiers visit the residence, office or shop, complete a structured checklist on an offline app, and submit with GPS location, time stamps and consented photos. Your credit or risk team sees each report in a panel with visits outside the assigned area flagged automatically, so a desk-filled CPV report is caught before it clears a loan.
Contact point verification confirms that an applicant lives or works where the application says, and that what the verifier observes matches the file. The weak point in many CPV set-ups is simple: nobody can prove the verifier went. Reports come back complete, on time and occasionally invented.
Each case carries the verifier's GPS location at submission, checked against the assigned locality, the start and end time of the visit, photos of the premises or nameplate taken with consent, answers to a checklist agreed with your credit policy, and a neighbour or landmark confirmation where your process requires it. Reports from outside the assigned area, or submitted too quickly, go to a review queue.
Loan growth is in towns where lenders have thin branch presence. Verification has to reach there too.
Risk containment units sample files to catch document and identity fraud. Field re-verification is one of their tools: a second, independent visit on a sample of cases already verified, to test whether the first report was genuine.
We act as a field vendor for RCU re-verification: independent visits on sampled cases, with our evidence compared against the original CPV report. We do not perform document forensics or signature analysis in-house; those stay with your RCU team or specialist vendors.
KYC responsibility stays with the regulated entity. Field verification supports it.
Payment aggregators and merchant lenders need to know a small merchant is real before enabling payments or credit. Verifiers check shop-front existence, trading activity and signage against the application.
Payment and lending platforms onboarding thousands of small merchants can send batches by city. Verifiers confirm the shop exists, is operating and matches the application, with a photo of the shop front and QR or signage where relevant.

| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Is GPS location shown and checked on each report? | Catches desk-filled reports |
| Are visit start and end times recorded? | Very short visits suggest no real check |
| Can you see the evidence, not just the verdict? | Lets credit teams judge refer cases |
| How are verifiers onboarded and background-checked? | Verifiers handle customer data |
| What is the turnaround by pin code? | Averages hide slow rural areas |
| Will the vendor support your audit? | Required under outsourcing norms |
Straight answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.
Per-case charges depend on case type, location, distance from the nearest verifier, turnaround time required, photo and neighbour-check requirements and monthly volume. Rural and remote pin codes cost more than city cases. We quote a rate card by case type and location band after seeing your volume and coverage, rather than a single national price.
Turnaround depends on pin code and case type. We agree targets by location band and show actual turnaround per case in the panel, so you can see delays by area rather than relying on a monthly average.
Yes. Lenders with in-house field officers can buy seats and use the same checklist, location check and review queue. See the CPV app page for how it works.
Each report records GPS location at submission checked against the assigned area, visit timing, and consented photos. Reports from outside the area or completed too quickly are flagged for review. Supervisors re-verify a sample of cases independently.

Share case types, monthly volumes and locations. We will return coverage, turnaround bands and a rate card.
