Two corporations became one, and the ward map is being redrawn
Bharat Survey is a survey company in Jaipur for campaigns, brands, NGOs and government programmes. The state merged Jaipur Greater and Jaipur Heritage into a single municipal corporation in 2025 and proposed folding 250 old wards into about 150. We check the current ward map before every study, deploy field teams per project and capture interviews offline with GPS and consent.
Five years of Jaipur civic data sit on two corporations and 250 wards. The merger announced in 2025 proposed 150 larger wards, each with roughly two to three times the old population, and added villages at the edge of the city. Any trend comparison has to translate old wards into new ones first, or it compares different places.
We use the latest notified ward boundaries, map each old ward onto the new one it mostly falls in and flag split wards. If notification is still pending when fieldwork starts, we sample on assembly segments and tag the provisional ward for later re-cutting.

Walled-city segments like Hawa Mahal and Kishanpole need short daily targets in dense lanes; Sanganer and Bagru need longer routes to newer colonies and villages. We plan each of the eight segments on its own and report the seat with the weighting shown.

Hindi is the default. English versions are available for office and student samples. Every version is piloted before fieldwork and the language used is saved with each record.
