Bharat Survey works as a college feedback management system for IQAC coordinators and principals who need feedback that is complete, anonymous and easy to act on. Students answer in supervised sessions on institution-owned Android phones or tablets. Alumni and employer responses are recorded by staff. Results arrive as programme-wise and course-wise summaries, not a spreadsheet of names.

Regulation

Requirements differ by the type of institution, the affiliating university and the purpose of the feedback. NAAC's assessment framework asks institutions about structured feedback on the curriculum from stakeholders such as students, teachers, employers and alumni, and about how that feedback is analysed and acted on. UGC regulations and university statutes set their own expectations for teacher assessment. Read the current documents for your institution rather than a vendor's summary, including ours.

University survey software needs more than a form

A university runs dozens of affiliated or constituent units. It needs one set of templates, results that roll up from department to faculty to campus, and access that lets a principal see their college and not the next one. Bharat Survey's account structure supports that with admins, supervisors and read-only viewers.

Research use

Departments sometimes ask whether the same tools work as a university research survey platform for student or faculty projects. For field studies with enumerators, households and districts, yes. For online questionnaires sent to large respondent lists, a web survey tool will suit better.

Parent-teacher meetings are the best moment for parent feedback. Staff open the form on a phone and parents answer in Hindi or English.

Is student feedback really anonymous?

Yes, in the way we set it up. The student form stores course, section and answers, but no name, roll number or phone number. For small classes, we suggest reporting teacher-level results only at programme level, so individual students cannot be singled out.

Do students need their own smartphones?

No. Sessions run on a few institution-owned Android phones or tablets passed around the room. Each device starts a fresh form for every student. The app works offline, so the session does not depend on campus Wi-Fi.

Can we send a feedback link to students instead?

Not in version 1. Bharat Survey does not send self-completion web links. If your institution prefers online links for every student, use a web form tool and keep our system for alumni, employer and supervised rounds, or ask us about timelines.

Can results go into our NAAC or NBA documentation?

You can export summaries to Excel and PDF and use them in your own documentation. Bharat Survey does not submit anything to NAAC, NBA or UGC portals, and it does not guarantee any grade or score.
