Indirect assessment for CO and PO attainment, collected properly
Bharat Survey is NBA accreditation software for colleges in one specific sense: it collects the stakeholder feedback that feeds indirect attainment and the Self Assessment Report. Engineering, pharmacy, management and computer application departments use it for course exit, graduate exit, alumni and employer surveys. Students answer anonymously in supervised sessions on institution Android devices, and results export by course outcome and programme outcome for your attainment sheets.

Run supervised sessions
At semester end a coordinator who is not the course teacher runs the session with a few shared devices per room. Each device opens a fresh anonymous form per student.Department coordinatorSurvey 3/6 · AmenitiesOfflineHow is drinking water in your area?- Comes regularly

Our view
Complete rounds, not convenience samples
Supervised sessions reach most of the class. Progress by programme and section shows which groups have not been covered before the semester ends, while there is still time to schedule them.
- Coverage by section
- Session date and device count
- Response counts per course
Consistent forms across years
Forms are versioned. If the department revises COs or the rating scale, a new version is created, and earlier results keep the wording they were collected with. That matters when the SAR shows attainment trends over three years.

Documentation for the visiting team
Export the questionnaire, response counts and summaries as PDF for the file, and the data as Excel for the attainment workbook. Actions taken on feedback remain your department's record.

| Survey | Who answers | Maps to | How it runs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Course exit survey | Students, end of each course | COs | Supervised anonymous session on shared devices |
| Graduate exit survey | Final-year students | POs and PSOs | Supervised session before final exams |
| Alumni survey | Graduates, usually 1–3 years out | POs and PSOs | Recorded by staff at alumni meets or calls |
| Employer survey | Recruiters and supervisors | POs | Recorded by placement staff |
| Parent feedback | Parents | Programme review | Recorded at parent meetings |
Which surveys count and how they are weighted depend on the NBA manual and SAR format for your programme and tier. Check the current documents on nbaind.org.
Not the right fit if
- Calculate full CO-PO attainment including direct assessment marks
- Write or submit the SAR
- Email feedback links to all students or alumni
- Guarantee an accreditation outcome
A good fit if
- Anonymous course and graduate exit surveys
- Alumni and employer feedback recorded by staff
- Outcome-wise exports for attainment sheets
- Departments preparing NBA and NAAC evidence together
Straight answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.
Does the software calculate CO-PO attainment?
It calculates feedback results per CO and PO, which is the indirect component. Direct attainment from marks and the final weighted combination stay in your department's attainment workbook, where the method your SAR describes is applied.
Can students fill the exit survey on their own phones?
Not in version 1. Surveys run on institution-owned Android devices in supervised sessions. This gives higher completion and keeps anonymity under the department's control, but it does need a scheduled period.
Are alumni and employer responses anonymous?
They are recorded by staff, so the organisation type and graduation year can be noted without names. Avoid collecting ratings of individual faculty from external stakeholders.
Can we use the same system for NAAC?
Yes. The same account can run NAAC student satisfaction survey rounds and course feedback, which avoids duplicate sessions with the same students.

Send the CO list for a few courses and your PO statements. We will set up a sample exit survey and outcome-wise export.
