Seven segments that answer to three different Lok Sabha seats
Bharat Survey is a survey company in Meerut for campaign teams, brands, researchers and civic programmes. Meerut Nagar Nigam elects 90 ward councillors, and the district's seven assembly segments vote in the Meerut, Bijnor and Baghpat seats. We build quotas by segment and ward, brief teams for Hindi and Urdu interviews, and capture every record offline with GPS and time.

Kithore, Meerut Cantt, Meerut and Meerut South join Hapur segment from the neighbouring district. A seat study sends one team across the district line.
Both segments vote in Bijnor with segments from Bijnor and Muzaffarnagar districts. We report them apart from the Meerut seat so a district total never blends two contests.
Siwalkhas is counted in Baghpat. When a brief covers Baghpat, it joins that sample; when it covers Meerut district, it is weighted as a separate segment.

Three. Kithore, Meerut Cantt, Meerut and Meerut South are in the Meerut seat, which also includes Hapur. Sardhana and Hastinapur vote in Bijnor, and Siwalkhas votes in Baghpat. Our plans tag each interview with its segment so results can be reported by any of these seats.
90. Candidates contested 90 councillor seats in the May 2023 municipal election. We sample on the current ward list and confirm ward numbers against the latest official list before assigning interviewers.
Yes, and it must for any Meerut Lok Sabha study, because Hapur segment belongs to that seat though it lies in Hapur district. We assign a team to Hapur and report it as its own stratum within the seat.
Yes. Census 2011 recorded Urdu as the first language of about 12% of Meerut district. We translate and pilot an Urdu version, and respondents choose the language before questions begin.
