Hill colonies, riverside wards and a multilingual city
Bharat Survey is a survey company in Guwahati for campaign teams, researchers, NGOs and brands who need field data from Assam's largest city. Guwahati's residents speak Assamese, Bengali, Hindi and several tribal languages, and neighbourhoods run from hill slopes to flood-prone low ground. We plan samples around both and record every interview with GPS and time on an offline Android app.
Constituencies follow the Election Commission's 2023 delimitation order for Assam.

The 2023 delimitation renamed and redrew Guwahati's assembly segments, so older survey baselines rarely line up with today's boundaries.

Brands use Guwahati to read demand for the wider North East, which makes a clean city sample worth the effort.
Straight answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.
Under the Election Commission's August 2023 delimitation order, the seat has ten: Goalpara West, Dhudnoi, Chamaria, Boko-Chaygaon, Palasbari, Dispur, Dimoria, New Guwahati, Guwahati Central and Jalukbari. Only the last five are in the city area, so we plan urban and rural fieldwork separately.
Census 2011 shows Assamese, Bengali and Hindi as the three largest mother tongues in Kamrup Metropolitan, with Nepali, Boro and Karbi among others. We prepare questionnaires in the languages your sample needs and assign interviewers by neighbourhood.
Heavy rain can waterlog low-lying roads within hours, while hill colonies become slow to climb. Supervisors check weather each morning, move teams to unaffected wards, and extend the field window rather than let quotas fill only from easy-to-reach areas.
Yes. We load the 60 GMC ward numbers into the app. Each interview is tagged to a ward with a GPS point, and anything recorded outside the assigned ward is flagged for review before it counts.

Tell us the segments, wards and languages. We will send a field plan and a quotation.
