Brahmaputra valley, Barak valley and the hill councils on one field plan

Bharat Survey is a survey company in Assam for campaign teams, departments, CSR foundations and brands that need household evidence from all 35 districts. We build questionnaires in Assamese, Bengali and Bodo, recruit and train enumerators per project, and run an offline Android app that GPS-stamps every interview, from a char village in Barpeta to a Guwahati ward.

Electoral work

The 2023 delimitation redrew most seat boundaries, so older booth history rarely maps onto today's constituencies. We sample on current boundaries only.

Tracking on the current 126 seats

As a Vidhan Sabha election survey agency in Assam we draw polling-station samples inside current constituencies and report by region: Upper Assam, Lower Assam, North Bank, Barak Valley and the hill districts.

Election calendar

With the assembly elected in May 2026, this is the period for baseline and governance-perception panels. An assembly election survey agency Assam campaigns hire late has no earlier comparable data; a tracking panel started now does.

Urban and panchayat polls

The closest Assam match for a Nagar Nigam election survey agency in Assam is ward research for Guwahati Municipal Corporation and the municipal boards. A Panchayat election survey agency in Assam follows three tiers in plains districts, while Bodoland, Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao hold their own council elections.

Towns

Guwahati has its own page. These towns anchor plans for Upper Assam, the North Bank and the Barak Valley.

Survey company in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh anchors a tea belt next to the oil town of Duliajan. As a survey agency in Dibrugarh we sample tea estate lines and riverside wards as separate strata. Campaigns brief us as a political survey company in Dibrugarh or an election survey agency in Dibrugarh, and brands use the same team as a market research company in Dibrugarh. For departments we are a data collection agency in Dibrugarh that works as a door to door survey agency in Dibrugarh, and booth management app Dibrugarh volunteers work offline.

Survey company in Silchar

Silchar, headquarters of Cachar district, is the main town of the Bengali-speaking Barak Valley, so a survey agency in Silchar writes Bengali-script tools. Campaigns hire us as a political survey company in Silchar or an election survey agency in Silchar, while traders use us as a market research company in Silchar. A data collection agency in Silchar project usually runs as a door to door survey agency in Silchar, and booth management app Silchar teams sync when network returns.

Survey company in Jorhat

Jorhat hosts the Tocklai Tea Research Institute. A survey agency in Jorhat separates estate and floodplain households. We work as a political survey company in Jorhat and an election survey agency in Jorhat, and tea-sector clients use us as a market research company in Jorhat. As a data collection agency in Jorhat we also act as a door to door survey agency in Jorhat, while booth management app Jorhat users keep offline task lists.

Survey company in Tezpur

Tezpur, headquarters of Sonitpur on the North Bank, is home to Tezpur University. A survey agency in Tezpur covers wards, estates and foothill villages. Campaigns use us as a political survey company in Tezpur or an election survey agency in Tezpur, and brands as a market research company in Tezpur. Departments get a data collection agency in Tezpur that works as a door to door survey agency in Tezpur, and booth management app Tezpur teams log GPS-stamped visits.

Council areas

Bodoland, Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao

Councils run their own programmes. Tools are reviewed with Bodo, Karbi or Dimasa speakers and permissions follow council procedures.

Home #17 · Intro & consent

Hello, I am Ram Kumar. This survey is run by Sample Organisation. Purpose: to learn about amenities in your area. It is voluntary, and you can say no at any time.

Evaluation

For scheme evaluation, enumerators report to our supervisors rather than to the block office being assessed, and a fixed share of households is re-visited. Flood-season access in June to September is written into the sampling plan with replacement rules agreed upfront, not patched after villages turn unreachable.

Development sector

Before fieldwork

  • Comparison villages identified
  • Estate consent where labour lines are sampled
  • Sadri, Assamese or Bengali versions piloted

In the report

  • Estate and non-estate results split
  • Denominators and limits stated
  • Dataset and codebook handed over
Consumers

Retail audits beyond Guwahati

Outlet audits in Upper Assam and Barak Valley markets with shelf photos and GPS.

Script-correct questionnaires

Assamese and Bengali scripts, plus Hindi for trading communities.

Valley-level reads

Results split by valley so brands see where buyers differ.
Field operations

Offline for days, synced with evidence

We recruit and train enumerators for the project, often from surveyed districts. Forms stay on the phone on char islands and in Dima Hasao's hills, then sync with GPS, time and duration.

Consent in the respondent's language

Consent screens in Assamese, Bengali or Bodo, with a no-photo mode for sensitive modules.

Aggregate dashboards

Programme teams see district progress, not names, during flood recovery or child-protection studies.

Not the right fit if

  • You want voter-list personal data loaded into the app
  • You need all districts covered during peak floods within days
  • You want a guaranteed seat prediction

A good fit if

  • Assamese, Bengali and Bodo tools in one study
  • Fieldwork in tea estates, chars or council areas
  • Reviewers who audit individual records
FAQ

Straight answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.

Which languages do you use for surveys in Assam?

Assamese for most Brahmaputra valley districts, Bengali for Cachar, Hailakandi and Sribhumi in the Barak Valley, and Bodo in Bodoland. Hindi and Sadri modules are added for trading communities and tea estate households. Each version is back-translated and piloted first.

How do floods affect survey timelines in Assam?

Floods from roughly June to September cut access to chars and low-lying villages. We schedule those strata in drier months where possible, agree replacement rules in advance, and report any district where access forced a change so the data is not silently biased.

Can you survey in Sixth Schedule council areas?

Yes, with permissions that follow each council's procedures. Bodoland, Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao have their own administrations and elections, so we report them as separate strata and review questionnaires with local speakers before fieldwork begins.

Do you have an office in Assam?

We do not claim a local office. Field teams are deployed per project: we recruit and train enumerators, often from the surveyed districts, and supervisors manage quality through GPS, timestamps and back-check records in the app.
