Doctors, chemists, hospitals and patients, each interviewed on their terms
Bharat Survey is a market research company for healthcare and pharmaceuticals businesses: drug and device makers, diagnostic chains, hospitals and health-insurance teams. We interview doctors and chemists, audit pharmacy availability, and collect patient feedback with consent and privacy built into the form. Fieldwork is GPS-verified and supervised, and sensitive questions are handled under an ethics-first protocol.
- Doctor and chemist interviews by specialty and town class
- Pharmacy availability and substitution audits
- Patient experience and NABH-aligned feedback
- No patient identifiers collected without explicit consent
Hello, I am Ram Kumar. This survey is run by Sample Organisation. Purpose: to learn about amenities in your area. It is voluntary, and you can say no at any time.
Health research carries more duty of care than most categories. The respondent may be ill, the doctor is short of time, and the chemist is serving a queue.
We keep doctor interviews short and scheduled around OPD hours, and chemist interviews outside peak evening rush. Patient interviews are voluntary, happen after care rather than during it, and never ask for diagnosis details unless the study design and ethics review require it.
Marketing codes and ethics
The Department of Pharmaceuticals notified the Uniform Code for Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices in March 2024, which governs how pharma companies interact with healthcare professionals. Research honoraria and study design should be reviewed by your compliance team against that code. For studies that count as health research with human participants, the ICMR national ethical guidelines are the reference we design consent and privacy around.

Straight answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.
Can you interview doctors across specialties and towns?
Yes. We recruit by specialty, practice type and town class, and schedule interviews around clinic hours. Any honorarium is agreed with your compliance team, and doctors are told who is conducting the research, though the sponsor can stay undisclosed where the study design needs it.
Do patient surveys need ethics approval?
Routine service feedback usually does not, but studies that collect health information for research purposes may need an ethics committee review under ICMR guidelines. We flag this at scoping so the commissioning organisation can obtain approval before fieldwork starts.
Are you HIPAA or GCP certified?
No. We do not claim HIPAA or GCP certification and we do not run clinical trials. Our work is market research, service feedback and field surveys, handled with consent, data minimisation and access controls.
How is pharmacy mystery shopping kept legal?
Shoppers only ask about or buy over-the-counter products, or ask general questions a customer would. They never request prescription-only medicines without a valid prescription, and scenarios are reviewed with the client before use.

Share the respondent groups and regions. We will reply with a sample design and the ethics steps it needs.
