A leader's own Android app for updates, events and complaints that get answered
A voter connect app gives residents of a constituency a direct, official line to their MLA, MP or local leader. Bharat Survey builds and sets up a branded Android app for your office: news and updates from you, upcoming events, complaints and suggestions that residents can track by status, a polling-booth finder that sends people to the Election Commission's own search, and links to your official social accounts. It is built for each leader on request, published under your name, and connected to your office's grievance desk.

Our view
Both have a place. The difference is whether a complaint can be tracked and counted.
WhatsApp groups and social pages
Fast, informal, no install
- Reach people where they already are
- Good for quick announcements
- Complaints scroll away and are hard to count
- No status for the person who asked
Branded voter connect app
Installed by people who want it
- Every complaint gets a ticket and a status
- Complaints counted by area and category
- Official channel under your name
- Needs promotion to reach installs
| Item | How it is handled |
|---|---|
| Status of the app | Built and set up for each leader on request; not a ready-made download |
| Platform | Android first; any other platform is scoped separately |
| Publishing | Under your own Google Play developer account, in your name |
| Complaints | Connected to the office grievance desk in Bharat Survey |
| Booth finder | Link to ECI electoral search and Voter Helpline; no roll data inside the app |
| Languages | Hindi or the state language with English |
| Timeline and price | On quotation after a scoping call |
People who send a complaint share their name, phone number and area. The app asks only for what the office needs to reply, shows consent text before a complaint is sent, and lets people see what they submitted. Data stays in your office's isolated account, and duties under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 apply to your office as the party deciding why the data is collected.
The app does not contain the electoral roll, does not match residents to voter records and is not a channel for bulk messages. During an election period, content posted in the app should follow the Model Code of Conduct and current Election Commission instructions.
Kept out of the app
- Electoral roll data
- Caste or religion questions
- Bulk message blasts
- Contact list scraping from phones
Not the right fit if
- No one in your office can answer complaints within days
- You want to message every voter in bulk
- You want residents' contact lists or location tracked
- You need it live next week with nothing prepared
A good fit if
- Leaders with a working grievance desk
- Constituencies where complaints get lost in chats
- Offices that want complaints counted by area
- An official channel under the leader's own name
Straight answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.
Is the voter connect app available to download now?
No. It is built and set up for each leader on request, with your name, photo and content, and published under your own developer account. The complaint handling runs on the grievance desk in Bharat Survey. Timeline and price are agreed in a quotation after a scoping call.
Can residents find their polling booth in the app?
The app sends them to the Election Commission's electoral search or the Voter Helpline app, which show the current official roll. We do not put roll data inside the app, so there is nothing to go out of date and no voter list to protect.
Who replies to complaints sent through the app?
Your office. Complaints arrive as tickets on the office board, where staff assign, update and close them. We help set up categories and roles, but we do not staff your grievance desk.
Is there an iPhone version?
The app is Android first, because most residents in most constituencies use Android phones. If you need other platforms, raise it on the scoping call; it changes the timeline and the quotation.
Can we send notifications to app users?
Yes, notifications about your updates and events can go to people who installed the app and allowed them. This is not a bulk SMS or WhatsApp tool, and during an election period content should follow the Model Code of Conduct.
