Field evidence first, dashboards second
Bharat Survey is monitoring and evaluation software for NGO teams, CSR foundations and implementing partners who have to show what happened on the ground, village by village. Field staff collect indicator data offline on Android. Every record carries location evidence and passes a review queue. Programme managers watch progress by district, block and village, and export approved data into the donor or board report they already use.

Our view
Four steps turn a results framework into forms your field staff can fill offline.

Map indicators to questions
Each output and outcome indicator gets the questions that feed it, with units, ranges and disaggregation fields such as gender or social category, framed as your donor requires.M&E leadSurvey 3/6 · Public amenitiesHow is drinking water in your area?- Comes regularly

Coverage by geography
Progress shows how many assigned villages or facilities have approved records this round, down to block and gram panchayat. Gaps show up while the round is still running, which is when you can still send someone.
- District, block, GP, village levels
- Assigned vs reported
- Last sync time per staff member
Quality alongside quantity
Next to each count sits the share of records flagged outside area, very short or awaiting review. A programme that looks on target but has a third of records flagged is not on target.
- QA queue by reason
- Back-check outcomes
- Supervisor corrections logged
Live here means during active field shifts, with last-update times shown. Nothing stale is presented as live.

Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 and the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules, 2014 set CSR obligations. After the 2021 amendment, companies with an average CSR obligation of ₹10 crore or more must undertake impact assessment, through an independent agency, of projects with outlays of ₹1 crore or more that have been completed at least a year earlier. Check the current notified rules on the MCA site before planning.
Bharat Survey covers the field evidence part of that work: monitoring data during implementation and household or facility surveys for assessment. It does not manage CSR budgets, spend approvals or MCA filings.
ESG reporting
Social indicators in sustainability reports, such as beneficiaries reached or community feedback, need traceable source data. Approved records with location and timestamps give auditors a trail back to the visit.
Out of scope
- CSR budget and spend tracking
- MCA CSR-2 filing
- BRSR report writing
- Grant management
A verified field data layer
A grants or finance system
Exports and Sheets
Not the right fit if
- You need DHIS2 implementation or national health reporting
- You want grants, budgets and finance in one system
- Beneficiaries must self-report on web links
- You need a free tool
A good fit if
- Programmes where field evidence is questioned
- CSR partners reporting by village and block
- Baseline, monitoring and endline on one platform
- Teams working offline in Hindi

Can we import our log frame?
There is no log frame importer. We map your indicators to form questions during setup and agree how each indicator is calculated in the export. Baseline and target values stay in your reporting template, where your team already maintains them.
Is the dashboard really real time?
Progress updates as records sync during active field shifts, and every view shows the last update time. Records still on phones without network appear only after they sync, so the dashboard never shows stale data as live.
Can our CSR funder log in?
Yes, with a read-only viewer role if your agreement allows it. Viewers see progress and approved data but cannot edit records or forms, and their access is logged.
Do you do the impact assessment as well?
Bharat Survey also offers evaluation and survey services with field teams. Whether we should be the independent agency for a given project depends on the CSR rules and on any conflict with implementation work, which we discuss upfront.

Share your results framework or last donor report. We will show which fields come from the app and how the export would look.
