Bharat Survey does not generate QR survey links in version 1. The template below works with any tool

QR code feedback for restaurants in India is simple on paper: a code on the table, a short form on the guest's phone. This guide is for restaurant owners, cloud kitchen brands and hospitality chains deciding how to collect guest feedback. It gives a tested question set, explains where QR responses mislead, and is clear about our own product: Bharat Survey does not create public QR or web survey links in version 1. We offer staff-held tablet feedback and in-person audits instead.

Keep it under a minute. Every extra question loses guests, especially after a meal when the bill has been paid.

Our view

How it works

A QR code survey links to a web form, usually with the outlet or table encoded in the URL. Guests scan with their phone camera, answer and submit. Most online form tools can do this, and many restaurant POS and reservation platforms include feedback modules.

Three things distort the results. Guests with a strong opinion, very happy or very upset, answer more. Staff sometimes ask friendly regulars to fill it, or fill it themselves. And printed codes get copied or moved between tables, so the table field stops meaning much.

Making QR feedback more trustworthy

Print a separate code per outlet, not one for the brand. Look at the count of responses per day before the average score. Read the open comments weekly, because they carry most of the actionable detail. Compare against a periodic independent audit of the same outlets.

  • You need POS-triggered SMS or WhatsApp feedback

FAQ

Straight answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.

Can Bharat Survey generate a QR code for our feedback form?

Not in version 1. Forms run inside our Android app, on a staff-held phone or tablet, and there are no public web links for guests to open by QR. If QR on the table is essential, use a web form tool with the template on this page.

How many questions should restaurant feedback have?

Five to eight. Ratings for taste, speed, cleanliness, staff and value, one recommend question and one optional comment are enough. Longer forms get abandoned after the bill is paid, and the answers that remain come from the most motivated guests.

Should we give a discount for feedback?

It raises response counts but tends to attract guests who want the discount rather than guests with something to say, and it can conflict with review platform policies if linked to public reviews. If you use it, keep it small and separate from rating questions.

Can we check hygiene at outlets with the same system?

Yes. A hygiene or service checklist runs in the same app, with photo questions and location checks on each outlet visit, done by your area managers or by our audit teams.
