Bharat Survey is a PhD data collection service in India for doctoral scholars, faculty and research centres who have a questionnaire approved and need it answered by real people in real places. We follow your sampling plan and ethics protocol, send trained field investigators with an offline app, record consent with every interview, and return a clean dataset with GPS, time and duration for each record so your supervisor, and your examiners, can see how the data was gathered.
A field partner collects data under your design. It does not write your instrument, invent your sample or analyse your hypotheses for you.
Most scholars lose time between ethics approval and the first interview. This sequence keeps that gap short.
You share the approved synopsis, questionnaire, sample size and ethics approval letter. We check feasibility of districts, languages and dates, and flag questions that are hard to ask at a doorstep.
Your instrument is programmed exactly as approved, with translations you or your committee approve. Wording changes go back to you, never silently into the form.
Investigators learn the purpose, the consent script and each question's intent in a briefing, then do mock interviews before the pilot.
A small pilot outside the sample checks timing and understanding. Fieldwork then runs offline, with GPS, time and duration captured on each record.
Supervisors re-contact a share of respondents. You receive raw and cleaned data, the codebook, the field report and a record of dropped interviews.
The investigator reads the information sheet in the respondent's language, answers questions about the study and records consent in the app before the first item. A refusal is logged as a refusal, which gives you an honest response rate for the methods chapter.

Each interview syncs with location, start and end time and interviewer ID. Very short interviews, duplicate respondents or records outside the sampled area are held for review instead of counted.

Yes, we work under your approved protocol. Bharat Survey is not an institutional review board and cannot grant approval. Send the approval letter and the approved instrument; we program it as approved, use your consent script, and report any change request back to you so you can seek an amendment before fieldwork changes.
Most Indian universities route human-subject research through an institutional ethics committee. We follow the committee's conditions on consent, anonymity, vulnerable groups and data storage, record consent in the app, and hand over data in the de-identified form the protocol requires. Approval itself is your responsibility and must exist before fieldwork.
No. We do not sell pre-filled, synthetic or recycled responses. Every record comes from an interview with GPS, time and duration attached. Fabricated data can cost a scholar their degree, and universities treat data fabrication as serious research misconduct.
You do, or your institution does, as set out in your protocol. We deliver raw and cleaned files and codebook, then keep project data for later export until you instruct us to delete it. We do not reuse your respondents for other studies.
It depends on sample size, districts and interview length. A pilot usually comes first, then fieldwork, then back-checks and cleaning. We give a dated plan after seeing your frame, and we tell you early if your semester deadline is unrealistic for the sample you need.
