Three districts that were one Basti district until 1988

Bharat Survey is a survey agency in Basti division for campaigns, researchers, NGOs and departments that need household or voter-opinion data from Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar and Siddharth Nagar. Which Lok Sabha seats fall in Basti division?

Basti seat covers all five Basti district segments. Domariyaganj covers all five Siddharth Nagar segments. Sant Kabir Nagar seat has three segments in its own district plus Khajani in Gorakhpur district and Alapur in Ambedkar Nagar district, so a study of that seat needs teams outside the division.

Can one sample cover the whole division?

Yes, with quotas per assembly segment. That gives reliable figures for each of the three districts and each Lok Sabha seat. If the Sant Kabir Nagar seat is part of the brief, we add the Khajani and Alapur segments rather than stretching the district sample.
