These three segments are almost entirely urban. Sampling runs ward by ward inside the 70 corporation wards, with quotas for traders, salaried households and bastis.
Raipur Rural, Dharsiwa, Arang and Abhanpur
Peri-urban colonies, industrial labour settlements and villages sit together. We stratify by village and colony so one type does not swamp the result.

How many wards does Raipur Municipal Corporation have?
Seventy. The 2025 Raipur Municipal Corporation election was held across 70 wards. For civic surveys we load those ward numbers into the app, tag every interview to a ward with GPS, and flag records that fall outside the assigned ward before they count.
Does the Raipur Lok Sabha seat match Raipur district?
No. It includes Raipur district's seven assembly segments and also Baloda Bazar and Bhatapara, which lie in Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara district. A parliamentary survey therefore needs a field plan across both districts, and we report those segments separately.
Can you survey residents of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar?
Yes, with a different field plan. Sectors are spread out and many households are away during the day, so we schedule evening and weekend visits, take appointments where colonies require them, and keep a separate quota so Nava Raipur results are not blended with the old city.
Do Raipur interviewers speak Chhattisgarhi?
For rural blocks and many city bastis we assign interviewers who speak Chhattisgarhi as well as Hindi. Questionnaires are usually in Hindi, and we translate key prompts into Chhattisgarhi when the pilot shows respondents understand them better that way.
