Coastal Andhra, Rayalaseema and Uttarandhra on one field plan

Bharat Survey is a survey company in Andhra Pradesh for campaigns, departments, CSR foundations and brands that need Telugu-language household evidence from the delta villages of Godavari to the dry mandals of Rayalaseema. We recruit and train enumerators for each project and run an offline Android app that GPS-stamps every interview, including in the Agency areas of the Eastern Ghats.

Opinion in Andhra Pradesh divides along regional lines that a single statewide number hides: the irrigated Krishna–Godavari delta, the north coastal Uttarandhra districts, and drought-prone Rayalaseema. As an assembly election survey agency Andhra Pradesh campaigns can brief, we stratify by region, district and mandal, sample rural and urban wards separately, and report neutrally without naming parties or promising outcomes.

Constituency work and booth coordination

For ground teams, the booth management app Andhra Pradesh volunteers use assigns areas, tracks visits and syncs when network returns. It does not import voter-roll personal data and does not track voters.

Regions we stratify

  • Uttarandhra (north coast)
  • Godavari and Krishna delta
  • South coastal districts
  • Rayalaseema
  • Eastern Ghats Agency areas

Andhra Pradesh holds Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha polls on the same dates in recent cycles, so one round often has to answer both questions.

    Frame by assembly segment

Each of the 25 Lok Sabha seats contains seven assembly segments. We draw polling-area clusters inside each of the 175 segments so both levels can be read.

Questions are written in Telugu, back-translated, and piloted in one coastal and one Rayalaseema village, because vocabulary and tone differ.

Andhra Pradesh delivers many services through village and ward secretariats, which gives surveys a clean local unit to sample.

Secretariat-level sampling

Samples drawn by village and ward secretariat jurisdiction so results map back to the units departments manage.

Beneficiary verification

Doorstep checks with consent and photo evidence where terms allow, coded to LGD villages and mandals.

Farm and irrigation

Farmer surveys in canal-fed delta mandals and rain-fed Rayalaseema mandals, kept as separate strata.

Aquaculture belts

Shrimp and fish farming households in the Godavari and Krishna districts have income cycles unlike paddy farmers nearby.

Port and industrial towns

Visakhapatnam, Kakinada and Nellore wards mix salaried, migrant and trader households; quotas matter.

Rayalaseema rural retail

Village shop and weekly market audits reach buyers in dry-land mandals that city panels miss.

Our view

Coast

Cyclone-prone fishing villages

Baseline and endline surveys on housing, boats and income in coastal mandals, planned outside the October–December cyclone window where possible.
Industry

Around ports, plants and SEZs

Project villages near industrial clusters compared with similar villages outside CSR reach, using the same Telugu tools.

Evaluations here often need both a delta and a dry-land sample, because the same scheme can work very differently with canal water and without it. We agree the evaluation matrix first, pilot tools in Telugu, and back-check a fixed share of households with supervisors who did not do the original interview.

Agency areas

In the Scheduled Areas of the Eastern Ghats, including Alluri Sitharama Raju district, villages are scattered and some residents speak tribal languages such as Koya or Savara at home. We plan longer field days and recruit enumerators who can explain consent clearly.

Coastal plains

Delta and city wards

  • Dense villages, short travel
  • Canal-season timing
  • Telugu, some Urdu in town wards
  • Ward listing in corporations
Dry-land and hills

Rayalaseema and Agency areas

  • Long distances between clusters
  • Offline-first app
  • Tribal-language support where needed
  • Heat-aware field hours

For non-profits working on livelihoods, disaster recovery, health or education.

Send us

  • Districts and mandals in scope
  • Language needs beyond Telugu
  • Baseline or endline dates
  • Cyclone or harvest constraints

We return

  • Sample note and Telugu tools
  • GPS-stamped raw data
  • Back-check log and report

Not the right fit if

  • You need a local office address
  • You want voter-roll data loaded into an app
  • You want an iOS field app

A good fit if

  • Region-stratified Telugu surveys
  • Offline work in Agency areas
  • Neutral political research
FAQ

Straight answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.

Do you run Andhra Pradesh surveys in Telugu?

Yes. Telugu is the default for every questionnaire. We back-translate, then pilot in a coastal and a Rayalaseema village because wording lands differently. Urdu versions can be added for some town wards, and tribal-language support is arranged for Agency areas when the study needs it.

How do the new districts affect sampling?

Andhra Pradesh moved to 28 districts under a notification of 31 December 2025, effective 1 January 2026. We build frames on current LGD codes and the latest notifications, so results report against today's district boundaries, and we can also map them back to older districts if you need a comparison with earlier data.

Do you have an office in Andhra Pradesh?

We do not claim a local office. Field teams are deployed per project: we recruit and train enumerators for the districts in scope and check quality through GPS location, interview duration flags and independent back-checks visible on the web panel.

Can fieldwork continue during cyclone season?

Coastal fieldwork between October and December can be interrupted by cyclone warnings. We keep Rayalaseema and inland clusters as a fallback, follow district advisories, and report any change in field dates so the timing of interviews is clear.
