Brand team briefing the dealer audit checklist
We turn your showroom standards into observable items and agree weights before any visit is scheduled.

Showroom visits, workshop exits and village buyers, verified by location and time
Bharat Survey is a market research company for automobile makers, dealer groups, financiers and accessory brands that need to hear from buyers where the purchase actually happens: the showroom floor, the service bay and the weekly haat where a tractor or motorcycle gets discussed. We plan the sample, send trained field teams with a GPS-verified survey app, and hand over data you can trace back to a dealership and a date.
A vehicle purchase in India is rarely one decision. It is a family conversation, a finance approval, an exchange valuation and a delivery date, spread over weeks and several showroom visits.
That spread is why online panels miss so much. A first-time motorcycle buyer in a district town may never fill a web survey, yet he visited two dealers, asked a mechanic, and waited for harvest money before booking. Useful auto research follows that path in person: at the dealership, at the workshop counter and at home after delivery.
Passenger car studies lean on test-drive quality, exchange offers and delivery promises. Two-wheeler and three-wheeler work leans on finance approval, mileage beliefs and word of mouth. Tractor and farm equipment research has to respect the crop calendar, because owners are unreachable during sowing and harvest. We build the fieldwork schedule around those realities before quoting a timeline.
Four formats cover most briefs we see from manufacturers and dealer groups. Many studies combine two of them.
Most satisfaction programmes measure too much at purchase and too little at the second service, where loyalty is often decided.
The same five stages whether you audit 20 outlets in one state or several hundred across regions.
| Question | Best-fit method | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Do showrooms follow our sales process? | Mystery shopping | Shoppers being recognised in small towns |
| Why did intenders pick a rival brand? | Lost-buyer interviews | Recall fades after 60 days |
| Is our service network trusted? | Workshop exits plus recall calls | Dealer-selected respondent lists |
| Will rural buyers accept an EV or new variant? | Field concept test with intenders | Small samples read as national |
| Is our brand gaining consideration? | Brand health waves | Changing towns between waves |

Most programmes plan at least one visit per outlet per wave, and two where incentives depend on the score. For a model-level read, we size visits by region so each region has enough observations. We share the visit plan and its limits before fieldwork rather than quoting one national number.
Yes. Field teams interview owners at home, at haats and near mechanics, using an offline Android app that syncs later. We plan tractor fieldwork around sowing and harvest, when owners are hard to reach, and we verify ownership with simple questions about the vehicle.
We can, when you have consent to contact those buyers. We prefer lists pulled centrally rather than by the dealer being evaluated, and we can add intercept interviews so the sample is not limited to people a dealer chose to share.
On quotation. Cost depends on the number of outlets or interviews, towns, languages, questionnaire length and how many verification call-backs you want. Share the brief and we will return a sample plan and a line-item quote.

Send the outlet list or target segments and we will reply with a visit plan, sample note and timeline.
