Bharat Survey is retail audit software for FMCG, pharma, telecom and consumer durable teams, and for the agencies that audit stores for them. A 4-foot kirana shelf and a 40-metre hypermarket aisle need different checklists. Both need to show that someone stood in front of the shelf. Forms are built per channel, and every store visit records arrival, time spent and location evidence.

Share of shelf is usually your brand's facings divided by total category facings in the same section. The auditor enters both counts; validation stops the brand count exceeding the total. The ratio is then calculated in the Excel export or your BI sheet, where you control the formula and category definitions.
Counting by hand is slower than photo-based recognition, and on a busy kirana shelf it is also what most audit teams in India still trust.
What we do not offer
There is no retail image recognition software in Bharat Survey. Shelf photos are stored as evidence for reviewers, not analysed automatically. If you need shelf image recognition India vendors specialise in that, and our photos can still sit alongside their output.

Can we upload our outlet list?
Yes. Outlets are loaded with a code, name, address, town, route and a location pin where you have one. Stores without pins can be pinned on the first verified visit and reviewed before being fixed as the outlet location.
Does the app calculate share of shelf automatically?
The app records brand and total facings with validation. The ratio is calculated in the export or your reporting sheet, so your category definitions and formulas stay under your control.
Can auditors work in malls with no network?
Yes. Checklists, SKU lists and photos work offline and sync when the auditor gets signal. GPS indoors can be weak, and those records are labelled poor signal for review rather than rejected.
Do you provide auditors as well as software?
Yes. Bharat Survey runs retail audit fieldwork as a service, and brands or agencies can also use the software with their own teams. Pricing for either is on quotation.
