Bharat Survey is an inspection and audit app for India's franchise networks, restaurant chains, retail brands, CSR teams and departments that inspect many sites with a small team. Auditors open an assigned checklist on an offline Android app, mark each item, attach photos, and sync. Managers see where and when each inspection happened and which sites failed which items, without chasing paper reports.

Regulation
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India sets the hygiene and sanitary requirements food businesses must follow, and runs schemes such as hygiene rating through audit agencies it recognises. An internal audit app helps a business check itself against those requirements between official inspections. It does not replace a statutory inspection, and Bharat Survey is not an FSSAI-recognised audit agency.
Digital signature capture form app requests
Many teams want the outlet manager to sign the report on the phone. Signature capture is not part of version 1. Today, the manager's name and acknowledgement are recorded as form fields, and the report exports as PDF for signature if your process requires one.
Barcode scanning survey app requests
Barcode or QR scanning of products and assets is also not in version 1. Asset codes can be typed or picked from a list. Tell us if scanning is essential; we note it in the proposal instead of promising it.

Can I use my existing Excel checklist?
Yes. Send the checklist as it is. We convert it into a form with sections, required items, photo rules and skip logic by site type. If your team already writes XLSForm, it can be imported directly.
Does the app work where there is no signal, like basement kitchens?
Yes. Checklists download before the visit, the inspection is completed offline and saved encrypted on the phone, and it syncs when the auditor is back in coverage. The app shows how many inspections are still waiting to upload.
How are audit scores calculated?
Each item is recorded as pass, fail or not applicable. Item-level results export to Excel and CSV, and we set up the scoring sheet, including any item weights, for your programme so every outlet is scored the same way.
Can outlet staff see their own results?
Read-only viewer access can be given to regional or franchise managers. Outlet-level self-service access and automatic result emails to outlets are not part of version 1; exports or PDF reports are shared instead.
