Mathura, Vrindavan and Goverdhan receive large numbers of pilgrims. Street intercepts there pick up visitors from other states, so opinion and household studies screen for local residence first, and tourism studies screen for the opposite.
Mainpuri district has four assembly seats, yet the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat has five because Jaswantnagar from Etawah district belongs to it. Agra district is split between the Agra and Fatehpur Sikri seats, and the Agra (SC) seat also takes Jalesar from Etah district. We sample by assembly segment so district and parliamentary totals both stay honest.
Hindi is the written standard, but Braj Bhasha is what many older and rural respondents speak. Questions that read well in formal Hindi get tested aloud in the pilot and adjusted where people hesitate.
Agra is the division headquarters and a million-plus city with its own Nagar Nigam, so it has a separate page covering ward-level sampling, tourism-economy research and the split between the Agra and Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha seats. The district office lists 6 tehsils and 15 blocks, and the Agra (SC) seat reaches outside the division for its fifth segment, Jalesar in Etah district.
Agra districtFirozabad is India's glass and bangle town, and much of that work happens in household units and small furnaces, not only factories. A market research company in Firozabad brief about workers or home-based artisans needs interviews at odd hours, after the shift or during piece-work at home. A data collection agency in Firozabad also has to separate the Nagar Nigam city from Shikohabad and the rural tehsils. On the political side the district is neat: its five assembly seats, Tundla, Jasrana, Firozabad, Shikohabad and Sirsaganj, make up the Firozabad Lok Sabha seat, and the five tehsils carry the same names. We recruit enumerators from the districts in the project wherever possible and brief them on local phrasing. Questionnaires stay in written Hindi, but key questions are piloted aloud in Braj Bhasha-speaking villages and reworded where respondents hesitate or misread them.
The Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency has five assembly segments: Mainpuri, Bhongaon, Kishni and Karhal in Mainpuri district, plus Jaswantnagar in Etawah district. A parliamentary estimate needs all five, so we sample Jaswantnagar as its own stratum.
Every intercept starts with a residence screener: where the respondent lives and whether they are registered locally. Non-residents are thanked and closed out. For tourism studies the logic is reversed. GPS and time stamps show where each interview happened.
Yes. Seats on the Android app let your volunteers record booth-level tasks and surveys offline. The app does not import voter lists and does not track individual voters.
