Six city segments, three rural ones and a workforce from many states
Bharat Survey is a survey company in Ludhiana for campaigns, industry researchers, NGOs and public programmes. The municipal corporation has 95 wards, and the Lok Sabha seat joins six city segments with Gill, Dakha and Jagraon. We run Punjabi and Hindi questionnaires, deploy field teams per project and record every interview offline with GPS and consent.

The December 2024 corporation election left no single party with a majority on first count, which shows how close ward contests can be. Ward-level surveys here need adequate sample per ward, not a thin city-wide spread that cannot say anything about any one ward.

95. Elections to all 95 wards were held on 21 December 2024. Ward-level studies use these as the sampling unit, with a minimum sample per ward agreed before fieldwork so each ward's result can stand on its own.
Which assembly segments are in the Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat?
Nine: Ludhiana North, East, West, South, Central, Atam Nagar, Gill, Dakha and Jagraon, according to the district administration's constituency list. Gill and Jagraon are reserved for Scheduled Castes.
Can you interview migrant workers in Hindi?
Yes. We assign Hindi-speaking interviewers to colonies where many residents come from other states, and keep Punjabi versions for everyone else. The language used is recorded on each interview.
Do employers see which workers took part?
No. Worker surveys are confidential. Employers who commission or permit a study receive aggregated results only, and interviews are held away from the workplace wherever possible.
