Bharat Survey is a survey company in Mizoram for departments, NGOs, researchers, brands and campaign teams. Mizoram's population is concentrated in Aizawl, while the rest lives in ridge villages linked by long hill roads, so we sample the capital and the districts as separate strata, write tools in Mizo and English, and use an offline app that GPS-stamps each interview.

Aizawl is built along steep ridges and is governed by the Aizawl Municipal Corporation. With only 40 assembly seats, many of them small, a Mizoram seat estimate is sensitive to a few clustered interviews. We spread polling-station samples across every locality or village within a seat and report Aizawl seats apart from rural and southern seats, where issues differ.
Questions are drafted in Mizo, back-translated, and checked so that no option leads. We never name a preferred party or promise an outcome.

The assembly was elected in November 2023, so the next cycle falls toward the end of the decade. Mizo is the main questionnaire language, with English where respondents prefer it; both are official languages. In the Chakma, Lai and Mara council areas we add versions reviewed by speakers of those languages and pilot them before fieldwork.
Village councils are the local body in most rural areas and know their households well. We inform them before listing, respect local timings such as Sunday observance, and record their input on the listing without sharing individual responses with them.
Travel between Aizawl and southern or eastern districts takes much of a day on hill roads, and monsoon landslides add delays. After tool approval, most district-stratified studies need a few weeks of fieldwork; we share a district-wise route plan with the proposal.
We do not claim a local office or permanent team. Field teams are deployed per project: we recruit and train enumerators for the study and supervise quality through GPS, timestamps and back-checks.
