Bharat Survey is a data collection agency in India for researchers, consultancies, NGOs, companies and government departments that need primary data gathered properly in the field. We recruit and train enumerators, run the survey on our GPS-verified offline Android app, supervise and back-check the work, and deliver clean data every day. You can bring your own questionnaire and analysis team, or ask us to handle sampling and reporting too.

Our field day starts with a team briefing, moves through assigned villages or wards, and ends with a supervisor reviewing every record before it counts.
Modes
Most of our survey data collection services are face-to-face CAPI interviews at households, shops, facilities or public places. Enumerators read questions from the app, record answers, and capture photos or GPS points where the study needs them. For hard-to-reach groups this remains the most reliable mode in India.
We also support assisted self-completion on tablets for sensitive modules, and observation checklists for audits. For phone-based research we can work with partner call centres, but we don't offer our own dialler product.

Digital by default
Every digital data collection survey in India we run replaces paper with validated forms: impossible values are blocked, skip patterns are enforced, and data arrives the same evening. Paper surveys add weeks of entry and a whole class of errors that you can't trace back to the interview.

Our enumerator network in India is built per project: we recruit from local pools, graduates and experienced field staff, and keep in touch with people who performed well on earlier work. That keeps teams local and accountable instead of sending the same tired crew across states.

What does a primary data collection agency do?
It collects new data directly from people, places or organisations for a specific study, through interviews, observation or measurement. A good agency also recruits and trains field staff, supervises them, verifies records and delivers clean data with documentation.
Can we use our own questionnaire?
Yes. We script it in our app with skip logic and validations, pilot it, and suggest wording changes only where the pilot shows respondents misunderstand. Final decisions on content stay with you.
How do you check that interviews are real?
Each record carries GPS location, time and duration. Records outside assigned areas or with implausible durations are flagged, and supervisors re-contact a share of respondents with short verification questions.
How is data collection priced?
Pricing is on quotation, usually per completed interview or per field day, and depends on interview length, geography, sample spread, languages and verification level.
